Our Colombian and Ethiopian house blend, pulled as a double ristretto and finished with a pinch of toasted cacao. The cup that started it all, and still the one regulars order first.

Blueberry | Jasmine | Dark honey

Hand-poured to order from this week’s reserve lot. Fruit-forward, floral and syrupy, a coffee to sip slowly with the cardamom bun. Allow ten minutes; it’s worth every one of them.

Cardamom | Orange blossom | Brown butter

Spiralled brioche rolled with cardamom sugar and glazed with orange blossom. Warm from the oven by seven, and usually gone by ten, so come early or call ahead.

Our story

Started with a second-hand roaster and a very patient landlord.

Ember & Oak began in 2016 in a converted timber workshop, where a tiny drum roaster sat between the sink and the stockroom. We roasted at night, tasted at dawn and gave away more cups than we sold.

Today the roaster still lives out back, and the oak tables are still scratched. You are welcome to stay until the second coffee goes cold.
