01The brief

What it had to do

An auto parts store home page, redesigned as a concept with a made-up brand. Drivers often know the job but not the part. The page had to help them find parts that fit their car quickly, on a phone.

02What we built

Inside the concept

  • A car finder that starts from a number plate
  • Shop by job, with steps for common jobs
  • An oil finder and featured products
  • Shop by category and a cart
  • Rego and service reminders, and a rewards sign-up

03Design decisions

Colour and type

Deep teal for the brand and buttons, amber for deals, and green only for good news like stock. Its own identity, a bolt-head mark and plain category names, so it never echoes a real parts chain.

  • Teal#0E5A5C
  • Buttons#0A4648
  • Amber#E39B2D
  • In stock#009546
  • Charcoal#1A1A1A
  • LatoHeadings and body text

04Speed

Measured, not promised

  • 99Performance
  • 100Accessibility
  • 100Best practices
  • 63SEO

Lighthouse 12.8.2, mobile preset, measured on 30 October 2026 against a copy of the concept served locally. SEO is held back on purpose: every concept is set to "noindex" so it never competes with real businesses in search.
