Privacy policy

1. Who we are

KB Ventures runs AceGuides and Black Crest Web Designs. This policy covers both. “We” and “us” mean KB Ventures.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need:

• Your name and email address, when you give them at checkout.
• Messages you send us, such as emails, including your email address and anything you choose to write.

We don’t ask for anything else.

3. How we use it

• To deliver what you bought.
• To answer your questions and give support.
• To send you updates, but only if you opt in. You can stop them at any time by emailing us.

If you sign up for updates, we use your email only to tell you about KB Ventures businesses, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

We don’t use your information for anything else.

4. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store your card number. Stripe’s own privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

5. Website hosting and logs

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and the pages you request, to keep the service secure and running. These logs are kept by GitHub. You can read more in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information.

We only share it with the services we need to run the business, such as Stripe for payments and GitHub for hosting, or when the law requires it. Some of these services may store information outside Australia.

Messages from our contact and sign-up forms are delivered to us through Web3Forms. AceGuides study guides are shared through Google Drive, so your email address is shared with Google to give you access. Receipts and delivery emails are sent from our email provider.

7. Keeping it safe

We keep your information only as long as we need it to deliver your purchase, give support, and keep the business records the law requires, and we take reasonable care to protect it.

8. Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email kb.ventures@outlook.com and tell us what you would like. We may need to check it’s really you, for example by replying to the email address we have on file.

We reply within 30 days.

9. The Australian Privacy Principles

The Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) set out how personal information should be handled. We aim to follow them, and this page explains in plain English how we do that.

10. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please email kb.ventures@outlook.com first so we can try to fix it. If you’re still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
