Our story

Opened in an old hardware store, with a pole from a closed shop.

Brass & Blade began in 2014 in a former hardware store on a quiet Surry Hills lane. We kept the brass fittings, the tiled floor and the long mirror, and rescued a 1960s barber pole from a shop that was closing down.

Twelve years later it is still four chairs, still a hot towel on every cut, and still the pole you can see from the end of the street.
